scalefoot farm and surounding area

the old granary testimonials...

"We spent a fantastic week at The Old Granary. We woke every morning to the sound of ducks and cockerels, and then took in the fantastic view from the breakfast table. Our hosts made us feel very welcome and their friendly pets came to say hello every day. A great base for visiting the coastal town of Whitby and the smaller Robin Hoods Bay. The North York Moors Railway is also well worth a trip and Roseberry Topping is just around the corner and offers walks and great views of the surrounding (Cleveland) coast. "

"This is an excellent park with beautiful views. If you want a quiet holiday in order to 'chill-out' it is ideal, but is also perfect for walkers. This lovely spot seems miles from civilisation in the National Park but is, in fact, a convenient distance from the pretty village of Castleton, where there is everything you need. Watch out for wandering sheep in the street! "

"For a get-away-from-it-all holiday this cottage is ideal, within easy reach of the coast but away from the crowds. This cottage was spotless, comfortable and welcoming. We would be happy to recommend it to anybody!!!!! "
